The Plague Dogs role play is extremely loosely based on 'The Plague Dogs' novel written by Richard Adams in 1977. Although it is not in any way necessary to know this book to participate in this role play, I will always recommend it because it's such a wonderful novel and would give you a pretty good idea of how this role play came into existence. Here is a decent fan-made trailer for your enjoyment!
You are a dog that lives with one kennel mate. You can see all the other canines within the kennels although conversation is few and far between. The only things left to talk about is what the white coats forced you to do today. Although some primal instinct deep within your soul screams at you to do as they wish, that you are only here to please the humans, you can't force back the feeling that these humans, the white coats, are pure evil. Your sleeping quarters are considerably large for your size although the stench of infection and urine would overpower you, if you weren't so used to it now. You get fed at 6PM daily, don't be late or you won't get another chance at it until the next evening. You are slowly starting to realize that everyone around you is losing their marbles as your own start slipping from your grasp. You hear the two small dogs in the kennel across from yours murmer about being electrocuted and drowned before they wish they could get out of this place. An escape... dream on, dolls.
The Town Of Flint
Life isn't so bad. You're either a loner or a house pet, but either way you always have a nice dry place to sleep. Whether it be your own home or the abandoned apartments near the outskirts of town. You've come to realize that the Zaveda Pack are not your foe and when they come calling, they only want information. Luckily for you, information travels like wildfire in Flint. The house pets scoff at you with their noses in the air when you dare to enter their park. You know you need to watch your back because the Animal Control is right on your tail. From what you've heard, the only humans that adopt from that place are the white coats over at the Testing Facility.
The Wolves
Being a wolf in Daulton is quite pleasurable. You've been on this island since before man came and you plan on sticking around long after they're gone. Your territories are hard to get to. So hard that most die, lost, while wandering around in your forest. Most of your pack mates despise the domestic canines and they are slowly starting to intrude on your land, threatening your home and life. All you want is to live peacefully without a bunch of human-obsessed dogs ruining everything for you. Although now that's beginning to seem impossible because there are rumours of crazy canines from the Testing Facility to the South escaping and setting up camp in your backyard.
The Humans
Humans come in at a far second compaired to the number of canines that inhabit the island. Fortunately for everyone, most of those canines live within the walls of the Testing Facility. You probably have mixed feelings about it unless you work there. Although you might think what they are doing is wrong, you are forced by the one thing that matters most to everyone to keep your mouth shut. The Daulton Testing Facility provides a large chunk of the funds that enter the island and if it were no longer around, you would have to move or starve. You know most of the employees there are hard, cold-hearted people who don't really give a rats ass about the lives they take, but you're starting to hear rumours of people that work there to help the animals. Although you can't quite figure out how that is possible yet.

The Plague Dogs Plot
Present Day - Fictional Place
Welcome to Daulton Island, population 288. Given it's considerably small size, Daulton cannot support more than 300 people at any given time. The island is extremely isolated which provides the perfect place to set up something that the majority of people don't agree with on the mainlands. Around 80% of the island still remains untamed, though. With valleys and moutains, lakes and thick forests, Daulton Island is quite the magnificent place to live.
