The end of the world has come and passed. Civilization was nearly destroyed by natural disasters, famine, and disease. To protect the citizens of the world, global leaders moved many survivors to a subterranean world known today as Hollow Earth, while those less fortunate were left on the Surface World to fend for their own.
It is now a century later. The Surface world is slowly recovering, and Hollow Earth has developed into a prosperous world--free of poverty, disease, and other misfortunes of the past. However, overpopulation is a fast-growing problem. To solve it, the leaders of Hollow Earth have implemented a plan to move civilians to the Surface World. Select groups were sent above as a survival test and returned with a highly contagious disease known as Influenza C. This sickness has normal symptoms until the fever drives victims mad, turning them rabid with an insatiable hunger for blood and flesh.
The plague is spreading quickly in Hollow Earth, but the leaders are still moving people to the Surface World. The military is working to protect their civilians, and only time will tell if society will eventually turn on itself.
