Background Image In Posts

Now you will be able to insert any image you like behind your regular posts to add a little flair without going through the motions of creating a table.

Whatever image you choose will not stretch the board in any way, your image will only get cut off. You can use VIRTUALLY ANY image out there... even animated ones!


To use this code:


image repeating:
nr = no repeat
rx = repeat horiz only
ry = repeat vertically only
cx = center horizontally
cy = center vertically

simply type
[PBG:]URL OF IMAGE[/PBG:] into your post to add a background.

switches come right after [PBG: and before ]. like:
[PBG:nr,cx,cy]


Obviously this one isn't what it could be but I threw it together rather quickly... X3

NOTE - This code cannot be seen when 'previewing' a post OR when looking through the 'Top 10 Most Recent Posts'

Dice Roll In Contests Board

Although I haven't quite worked out where this will ever come into play, I'm sure I can think of something sooner or later. ^.^


In the Contests Board only - There will be a new option in your replies to roll a dice. This option will be located with your posting option buttons above the text input areas (it is a small image of a die... hard to miss!)

You cannot change your roll number, it is random. No matter if you edit your post or otherwise. - It is a six sided die so you will get a number 1-6. People can get the same number.

We have a few new codes to fill you in on with this skin that will make your profile look snazzy and posting much easier!

Mini Profile Background Image

First, I'd like you to take a look at the red and black floral image in my mini profile over to the left of this text area! This is a new snazzy item that does not need to be purchased and can be edited from modifying your profile.

You will need a seamless image (a image that can keep repeating forever with no 'bumps') that is around 200px wide. When you go to your profile, be sure to have your URL handy. You will find an option in your profile (around the gender options) called MP Background. Simply enter the URL to your image and modify your profile!


Things to Take into account:

• The lighter colour of the text within your mini-profile may be hard to read with lighter MP backgrounds
  
• If you have a lot of information in your signature, the background will not work. You need to have enough space in your siggy to store the URL information for the MP Background. If you do not, you can always purchase the 'multiple clickable images' feature from the store. We will then be able to convert your entire signature into a code that will work when you type in a specific word.

Preset Posting Template

As you are reading this text, you are viewing the preset posting template option which is also editable from your profile. You can find the area to edit this information under your signature and user notes in your profile (Please note that this is not the same code as the UBBC posting template located in your profile!)

You will have a few options to edit. There will be a drop down menu for Fonts where we have provided you with a list of web-safe fonts. There is a drop down menu for the colour of your font. You can pick from one of the listed colours, or choose 'custom' to enter in your own hex code. There is also a drop down menu for the font size. Obvioulsy you can pick 1-7. You can also choose for your font to be bolded, italicized,or underlined.

When you have selected your options, modify your profile.

The next time you post (without a table, mind you) your presets will automatically be implemented into your post (you will not see this, it will be added when you have completed your post). After you hit reply, your font, size, colour and other options will automatically be added in!

• This will not work with Quick Reply
  
• This is not the same thing as the option for UBBA Posting Templates (see next post for details on the UBBC posting templates)

UBBC Posting Template

This is to make your IC posting life a heck of a lot easier. If you'll notice in your profile, there is a new section for posting templates. You can create new ones, name them and delete them. This code was suggested by Lark and what a wonderful code it is!
