Silent Howls
A Wolf Roleplay
You slowly wander through the endless sea of trees, as the moon is high in the sky, casting a yellow glow on your furry pelt. Stumbling over the unfamiliar land you let your keen sense of smell lead you to the scent of other wolves. Owls hoot and crickets chirp, making you feel somewhat comfortable. At least you're not completely alone in the forest. Finally, after what seems like forever, you pass the last tree. As you look around, you see you are in a large dirt clearing. Small green blades sprout up in little patches all around the circle. In the center of the clearing stand four amazingly tall trees. You look up to see how high they actually go. Your eyes widen as the leafy branches disappear high in the sky, leaving the actual height of the oaks undetermined. The large towers make a square, and in the center of that square lays a fallen oak. It is broken clean in two, the halves pushed together to form a platform. Something grabs your attention, why didn't you notice this before? On top of the broken tree stands four wolves, they are tall and proud. Muscular legs hold them up, their chests puffed and eyes glaring. Your breath stops in your throat. Are they glaring at you? Slowly you step back and dip you head in respect. While your head is traveling downward other figures catch your eye. Curiosity beats caution and you look up for a second time. There are two groups of wolves, each facing each other and snarling. On one side stands a large group of wolves, their scents mingled. But you catch a deep pine scent, fishy odor, musty boulder, and dirt. On the other side stand fifteen wolves, your nose wrinkles as it catches blood and rotting flesh. One wolf steps out from the fifteen, he is huge! Probably twice your size! Large muscular shoulder and a fanged smile catch your attention. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He snarls. The four leaders look at each other and nod. "We'll never give in," the answer as one voice. The large white wolf cackles before replying. "Well then, let the battle begin."
