On a far away island infused with strange powers live very strange people. The Gifted who have had to hide from the persecution of mankind came to the Isle of Avalon to make a home for themselves where they could learn to gain control and use their powers openly. Things went well, the Seekers going out into the world to pick up the Gifted born out there while on the isle the next generation was born. Years passed and things began to change. Those born on the isle became arrogant and believed in their superiority over everyone so treated those just coming to the island as inferiors. Other children of the island were born without powers at all and were left in a life of slavery to work for their betters, the Gifted. Then there were children, both born and brought in, who had strange looks as well as powers. Isolated and tormented by this they cast away civilization and took to the wilds of the island calling themselves the Forsaken and harboring their hate for those living in comfort.
So the lines have been drawn and despite the effort of a few the tensions between the groups continues to mount. This school for the special powered ones has taken steps to becoming a battle ground but still the classes go on and the new comers arrive from the outside world. Welcome to Avalon.
